Try This, it works
I've tried numerous chemical-free deodorants, many of which were good, but this is the one stayed with and am on my second purchase. It's a deodorant, but I find it also has anti-perspirant benefits, and I sweat, a lot, when I'm working outdoors. The claims are true, a little goes a long way, so while it looks expensive, it really isn't. It has a cumulative effect, so again, contributes to cost effectiveness. I don't have to worry about what is being absorbed through my skin and the long-term effects it might have. I recommend this if you're looking for something that really is effective and all natural.

A deodorant I can actually use that works
I'd been searching for a natural deodorant for several years as the commercial antiperspirants are irritating, as are the natural ones based on baking soda or arrowroot powder. My underarm skin was irritated and discolored. I'd gotten to the point where if I didn't have to go out, I'd skip using antiperspirant in order to let my skin have a break. I'm on Vintage Tradition's mailing list, so when I saw they offered deodorant, I thought it was worth a try. Even if it didn't work, I figured I could use it as a moisturizing balm on my hands and elbows. I was greatly relieved to find that it mostly works, and more importantly, my irritated skin healed up. My underarm skin is no longer discolored, and the balm was quite soothing while my skin recovered. For full disclosure, I live in the southeastern US, and when it's 90°+ with really high humidity, nothing is going to be 100% effective, which is why I said it mostly works. I use it very sparingly, about a pea size amount or less, and the jar lasted me for several months. One of the best things I've noticed is that it doesn't sting. I can shave my underarms and apply the deodorant balm directly from the shower. I've been very pleased with it, and I have purchased it several times, as well as recommending it to my friends who are looking for a natural option.

This product really works!
I've tried lots of different natural deodorant products but they either burn or I end up smelling. This Croatian doesn't appreciate being odiferous at the end of the day! Not only does this product NOT burn my underarms but I never notice any offensive smell or underarm moisture, and I can use it every other day and still get results.

It works well.
This is the first natural deodorant that DOES WORK! I've tried a few, but I never had any luck, except for the Tallow Balm formulation. I have very sensitive skin due to health concerns, so I'm careful what I use. Thanks! Try it!

I had been using other natural deodorants but developed some skin irritation. I was already a fan of these Tallow Balms for my skin (the only moisturizer I use on face and body, love them!), so I figured I would try the deodorant... fantastic! Really works and I love the scent. It really does work better as you continue to use it. It's been 3 weeks since I've been using it, and it holds up great through the day. I'm female but tried both the male and female deodorant just to compare the scents, and I like both, with maybe a slight preference to the men's.... Really really love these products!

This stuff is totally worth the price tag. I live in Houston and this deodorant actually stands up to the heat and humidity of a Houston summer. Since I've been using it, I've only had to wash and reapply twice when no other deodorant could keep up!! I'm so totally impressed! No rash..... no darkness... can hardly believe it.

This deodorant is very effective for me, even in Arizona. I like the fragrance, and it feels good going on. Since I don't want to put anything on my skin that I wouldn't eat, this is a good option for me. After cutting out products containing heavy metals, I began a search for “natural” deodorants. I can finally stop looking because tallow balm is the best.

Nourishes and Protects
This deodorant nourishes the delicate skin in the arm pit, and provides protection from odor. I'm elated to find a deodorant that doesn't irritate my skin, but nourishes it instead. Simply divine!

This might be the best deodorant I have ever used..let me explain..First of all the scent is fresh and faint..not overpowering and full of chemicals...Also you only need a little bit as it goes a long way...it is sooo soothing to your underarms unlike the natural deodorants that are gritty feeling and often cause little micro tears to your skin. Lastly I just worked out and I am not stinky...no lie!!!

highly highly recommend
i sweat an amazingly gross amount and i'm allergic to store-bought antiperspirant. it gives me huge painful bumps under my armpits when i wear it. so i'm constantly trying to find a natural deodorant that will work, as i'm also sensitive to baking soda which is in 99% of all cream formulations. i learned this from getting huge rashes in my armpits from "natural" cream deodorant that made it impossible to wear deodorant at all. UGH. my best luck has been with coming up with my own spray-type deodorant that works fabulously, but it doesn't exactly keep you dry and you have to reapply it throughout the day. i wanted to have something longer lasting and lower maintenance in my anti stink arsenal for those days when you can't reapply as often. [Vintage Tradition's Deodorant Tallow Balm] had amazing reviews, so i bit the bullet in hopes it would be the last cream type deodorant i would have to buy. after three days i can say that it will be. it isn't an antiperspirant, so you will still sweat, but it really really works even in the dead of summer. will definitely, absolutely be repurchasing.

Great deodorant that even keeps the stink away in Texas heat!!
LOVE this deodorant so much!! It keeps the stink away very well, even in SE Texas where heat and humidity can be a problem year round, feels great under your arm and smells great too. I ran out of my tallow face balm a while back and before the order for more arrived I used the deodorant balm on my face, worked just as well as the face balm. All their products are tallow, real oils and essential oils so they are all great products that can be used without any fear that there are all sorts of chemicals, etc. being put on my just shaved arm pits which is a big no no for most deodorants, you absorb even more of any and all, good or bad ingredients that are in the product when you are freshly shaved. I also have problems with smells, most of the time must have unscented everything but this does have a bit of smell but it is pleasant, not over powering and if I can wear this without problems just about any can!! Just ask my family, it drives them crazy that I have such issues with all smells and deodorant smells that are warming under your arm and coming up through your clothing can be very over powering and believe me, I have gone through and tossed so many because there actually was some smell I could not tolerate in the unscented deodorants. With Vintage Tradition deodorant tallow balm I do not really notice it after a while and I have no worries as I do with other deodorants about chemicals. The aluminum thing is controversial but I say, if there is a possibility that it can contribute to Alzheimer's disease then best to avoid the stuff on the shelves and stock up on my Vintage Traditions. Thank you so much for a great product!

At last, a natural deodorant that really works!
At last, a natural deodorant that really works! This stuff is magic. I'm using the women's scent, very mild earthy, herbal fragrance. Does not "carry" or compete with my perfume. A tiny bit is all you need. I can use immediately after shaving and no sting, no rash. It absorbs to leave no residue to transfer to clothing or show on skin. My underarms are smooth and soft now, not a separate "combat zone" segregated from the rest of my body. What a relief to finally find a natural deodorant I can stay with forever!
