Every year we somehow end up taking our dogs on too long of a hike too early in the season, before their paws have a chance to form thicker skin. This results in what we have dubbed “raw paw” where their paws have cracks and/or parts where the delicate pink inner layer of skin is showing. As you can imagine, this is painful for them, and my husband and I feel overwhelmingly guilty. I just want to say how much I love your balm. I’ve been using it mostly as a night cream on my face, and it’s working wonders. My skin is so soft and hydrated in the morning! I have tried all kinds of skin moisturizers, none really moisturized anywhere near as well as this product. Rough heels and fingers are smooth. It took me a bit to get used to the tallow scent, not unpleasant but different, but now I don’t even notice it, just my skin smoothness! Well, my husband and I both had rashes on the front of our legs of unknown cause. The rash was itchy. With the first application of the tallow, the skin improved and the rash disappeared. I’m writing to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed your balm. I was impressed by your choice of Young Living essential oils, by the way; not everyone might realize how much more expensive they are than essential oils of lesser quality, yet you chose to use them. To me that spoke of a commitment to quality over maximizing profits at any cost. I have had the opportunity to use the balms for only a couple of days, but already my skin looks wonderful. It had felt a bit dry and crepey lately, especially around the eyes, and the balm almost immediately restored its plumpness and luster. I suspect this is due to the fact that other creams, even when “organic”, etc., are still irritating to the skin and may cause a low-grade inflammation. The balm is of very high quality and actually does a better job than any of my (much more expensive) eye creams!

Smoothing the way to healthy skin! —vintage TRADITION
I currently use vintage TRADITION on my face and hands as well as my toddler’s face before she goes out into the winter weather. It has worked the best out of all the natural products I’ve tried in healing dry and cracked hands and softening/healing the skin on my face. I had hemorrhoids during my pregnancy with my daughter and still have one that gives me problems. When I was getting ready for bed one night, I was experiencing terrible hemorrhoid pain and thought I would try VT. I’ve been using it only once per day, and today I cannot feel the hemorrhoid protruding any longer. I know I still have something there, but the burning and pain are gone. I feel with continued use of VT that my it may heal completely (along with a good diet to assist with healing). It is kind of embarrassing talking about it, but I wanted to send a testimonial in case any other mom is suffering from hemorrhoids due to pregnancy and/or childbirth and hasn’t had luck with other products. I have post-traumatic osteoarthritis in my right ankle. The thought came to me to use the skin balm on my ankle, and I was able to walk almost normally for the first time in weeks. What’s the worst sport for your skin? I would argue skiing. I really like both of the wonderful hand-crafted body creams you sent so fast. I used the “almost unscented” for a gynecological problem (I am a gynecologist), and it cleared it up. I have a very large wound from breast cancer that has been a dark pink in color for 5 months. In less than 12 hours after applying the Body Balm, the color has changed to be closer to my skin tone. Nothing I have used in the past has had any effect. Also, I was awakened at 1:30 in the morning from a reaction to a bandage I had over a part of the wound that is still open. I removed the bandage, applied the balm and within 10 minutes the pain and itching from the reaction was gone. I have had reactions like that in the past and no natural products would bring relief. We love this balm! It is the only skin product that healed my farmer husband’s cracked and chapped hands. He tried everything on the market, but none had the healing power to do more than moisturize. This balm has tallow, which is so much like the oils in our own skin, and it is so healing. Since it is made with locally-sourced grass-fed beef tallow, it contains so many more nutrients. The Young Living essential oils add a pleasant fragrance that is non-toxic, which we love. I use the balm on my hands, which are extremely dry from working in water most of the day. Addtionally, I use it on my face because I know it is not rancid. Rancid vegetable oils are not good as they contain high amounts of free radicals, which is damaging inside the body and out. Like most women, I am concerned with wrinkles, and free radicals promote wrinkles, so I use only this balm on my face now to avoid free radical damage. Also, it is the best cure for “flip-flop feet” (dry/cracked heels), and we use it on our youngest son to soothe his occasional diaper rash.

I struggle with dry, cracked skin during the fall and winter seasons, and the vintage TRADITION Balm is the only product that I have used that softens, moisturizes, and heals. I use it right after showering to protect and soften my skin. In the summer, I use it to cool, protect, and soothe minor sunburns. vintage TRADITION is now my go-to moisturizer! I can’t recommend this moisturizing balm too much. And it’s insanely affordable for how long the jar lasts!!!

There are too many chemical ingredients added to skin care products you find every day on store shelves. It is extremely important to avoid remedies that involve dangerous chemicals. With our extra dry climate in Colorado, this balm has been a lifesaver. I am finding that my skin is much softer and isn’t drying out like it used to during the drought seasons.
